Prepare patients for examinations and treatments according to clinic protocols.
Obtain and document patient histories, vital signs, and clinical information in the electronic medical record.
Collect laboratory specimens and perform approved clinical tasks within scope of practice and validated competencies.
Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and supplies for patient visits and procedures.
Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures.
Perform approved clinical procedures including dressing changes, splint application, cast care, and suture or staple removal.
Serve as a primary point of contact for Concierge Medicine members, providing exceptional customer service and personalized support.
Coordinate appointments, referrals, diagnostic testing, specialty services, and follow-up care throughout the Logan Health system.
Support membership enrollment, onboarding, retention, and ongoing client engagement activities.
Assist with concierge-specific billing, membership documentation, and program administration.
Facilitate communication between patients, providers, specialists, and Logan Health departments to ensure a seamless care experience.
Respond to incoming patient calls and portal messages, gathering information for appropriate clinical follow-up.
Clean, disinfect, and maintain equipment according to departmental policies and infection prevention standards.
Participate in department meetings, education, quality improvement initiatives, and other departmental activities.
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
Perform approved scribe duties when trained and competency validated.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Must meet one (1) of the following educational requirements:
Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant program.
Completion of a Medical Assistant program accredited by a regional or national accrediting organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, including a minimum of 720 clock hours and a 160-hour externship.
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - AAMA
Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - AMT
Clinical Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) - NHA
National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) - NCCT
Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) - AMCA
One (1) year of experience in a medical practice, ambulatory clinic, concierge medicine, or customer service-focused healthcare setting.
Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification or ability to obtain prior to completion of orientation.
Medical office experience and medical terminology training.
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, laboratory values, and medical terminology.
Understanding of HIPAA requirements, infection prevention practices, patient rights, and clinical safety standards.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, customer service, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to build trusted relationships with patients while delivering a high-touch, personalized healthcare experience.
