This position is responsible for supporting, as assigned, in the accurate processing, collections, and reporting of State National's Program Services client business and is part of the Program Services Analysis and Reporting team with Markel's State National Program Services. State National Program Services is responsible for the administration of all State National Program Services insurance (and reinsurance), and the safeguarding of State National's assets through timely billing, collection and analysis. This position reports to the Manager, Program Analysis and Reporting.
Essential Functions:
Adhere to all SOX controls and maintain and follow all department processes and procedures.
Generate monthly miscellaneous invoices to program managers and assigned risk invoices to reinsurers. The functions will include: scanning and redacting all backup, reconciling the miscellaneous and reinsurance receivable accounts to the general ledger, and preparing, reviewing, emailing the invoices.
Route payments and other documents for internal signatures.
Complete scanning, mailing, and filing of assessment documents.
Develop solid understanding of operating systems.
Partner with Analysts and Sr. Analysts in the team to complete routine tasks.
Post and clear receivables for funds received from the program managers and reinsurers.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Associates Degree in Accounting or related experience preferred
0 - 2 years of accounting experience
Experience with Microsoft Excel
