Our Opportunity: The Sr. Manager, Franchise Strategy & Corporate Development, Tim Hortons & Firehouse Subs, APAC is responsible for driving the financial performance and turnaround of existing master franchise partners across Asia-Pacific, while also supporting the sourcing, structuring, and execution of new franchise development and refranchising opportunities to accelerate growth in the region. The role will manage one direct report based in Singapore and will have significant exposure to senior RBI leadership. The role is expected to be approximately 60% profitability and turnaround of existing markets and 40% franchise development and investor sourcing. Demonstrated profitability and financial analysis capability is the entry credential; development capability is what will distinguish strong candidates. RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite 5 days per week. Your roles and responsibilities : Franchise Profitability (≈60%) Own the Franchise Profitability KPI for Tim Hortons & Firehouse Subs in the APAC region and drive year-over-year improvement at restaurant and corporate level. Conduct in-depth profitability analyses, identifying root causes of underperformance and quantifying improvement opportunities. Collect, validate, and analyze franchisee financial information from country teams and partners across APAC, ensuring data quality and consistency with RBI's reporting structure. Lead profitability turnaround initiatives with franchisee finance and operations teams, from diagnostic through implementation and tracking. Prepare monthly and quarterly profitability and funding reports, and board-ready presentations for RBI's leadership and franchisee senior management. Develop and standardize profitability analytics, dashboards, and best practices across markets, and supply the development workstream with unit economics insights. Franchise Development (≈40%) Source new external investors and operators to enter the Tim Hortons & Firehouse Subs systems as long-term master franchise partners in APAC, including greenfield markets. Identify and lead re-franchising opportunities with existing portfolio partners, including portfolio rationalization, sub-franchising, and partner transitions. Build investment cases, market entry business plans, and unit economic models for new market entries and re-franchising transactions. Prepare and support investor pitches, and lead selected workstreams within deal processes from origination through term sheet, diligence, and documentation. Support Master franchising deals negotiations alongside senior leadership, internal and external legal counsel, and coordinate diligence across business, legal, tax, and accounting teams. Contribute to Tim Hortons & Firehouse Subs APAC yearly strategic priorities, development pipeline planning, and G&A budget setting. Your skills and experience: 5-10 years of professional experience with demonstrated capability across both financial analysis / profitability improvement and transaction or business development work. Strong profitability and finance foundation - prior experience in finance, corporate strategy, transaction services, investment banking, M&A execution, or top-tier management consultancy. Demonstrated deal or business development exposure - experience sourcing, structuring, or executing transactions, partnerships, or franchise/licensing agreements will be an asset. Prior working experience in the APAC region is required. At least Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Engineering. MBA is an asset.
