AECOM is looking for an experienced and motivated leader, based in Canberra, to lead our environment team - Contaminated Land and Environmental Impact Assessment to deliver and grow a strong pipeline of growth projects across a diversity of market sectors. How you'll make a difference Lead and inspire a high performing Environment team, fostering a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, safety and quality across project delivery. Drive strategic growth by building strong client relationships, supporting business development initiatives and contributing to winning proposals and bids. Oversee the successful delivery of Contaminated Land and/or Environmental Impact Assessments projects, providing technical guidance and ensuring outcomes meet client and business expectations. Mentor and develop team members at all levels, supporting technical capability, career growth and future leadership development. Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, using strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues. Take a proactive approach to operational and project challenges, using sound judgement to anticipate risks, solve problems and drive continuous improvement. Bachelor of Environmental Science or a related discipline, with ideally 10+ years of in Environment Consulting experience Proven experience delivering environmental projects and strong understanding of the relevant impact assessments and contamination investigations Australian citizenship is preferred due to defence-related requirements, and experience working within Defence environments will be highly regarded. Strong leadership and relationship-building skills, with a passion for mentoring, collaboration and developing high performing teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders at all levels. Commercially minded, client focused and highly organised, with strong problem-solving skills, sound judgement and attention to detail.
