About the role

This position is located at the Kentucky Consular Center (KCC), Office of Domestic Operations, Visa Directorate, Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA/VO/DO/KCC). The incumbent serves as a Program Analyst with responsibility for providing expert analysis , advice, and guidance that supports the planning and execution of petition-based Nonimmigrant Visa (NIV) processing. Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience utilizing analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to identify and propose solutions to management problems; Experience in communicating effectively, to develop policy, guidance, instructions, and presenting recommendations to management; and Experience coaching or training others. Experience with development, examination, investigation, adjudication, or authorization in relation to visa and/or immigration laws of the United States. There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-13 position.
