Responsibilities
- Field lube services (50% of day) - oil changes, topping off hydraulic and coolant, etc.
- Changing filter including oil, air, fuel, etc.
- Perform preventative services on trucks and equipment - primarily easy and direct services that can be done without putting a unit out of service for long periods of time.
- Perform small and quick diagnostics or report back faulty items in the field.
- Perform small repairs in the field such as hydraulic line repairs, alternator replacements on equipment, battery replacements, quick assembly glass doors, etc.
- Perform quality control checks of the crew's daily maintenance - this will provide accountability for who is completing reports correctly and will also serve as training for team members who are filling out reports
- Take small portable equipment or safety related items to job sites that are located on their route for the day - fire extinguisher replacements, small tools, etc.
- Special projects or other duties as assigned.
- Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a US born citizen.
- Must have a clean background.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have a REAL ID.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Minimum 3+ years of heavy equipment or diesel mechanic knowledge.
- Must be comfortable driving large vehicles - lube truck.
- Must be willing to learn additional tasks and follow instructions.
- Physical Requirements:
- Employee must be physically fit to perform manual labor in all types of environments and conditions, including heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.).
- Regularly required to sit and stand, must be able to use hands to fingers, handle or feel and verbally communicate and listen.
- Other physical requirements include walking, climbing or balancing and stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. Specific vision abilities required by the position include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
