Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply rescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Operates mobile radiologic equipment in clinic when applicable.
  • Performs routine maintenance, diagnoses malfunctions, and makes minor repairs on radiologic equipment, arranging for repairs as needed.
  • Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
  • Processes images and reviews for proper identification and quality control.

  • Prepares images for reading by radiologist or requesting physician.
  • Assist in training students and/or new staff.
  • Responds to needs and is knowledgeable of appropriate care for school-aged through gerontological patients.
  • Adheres to staffing and scheduling practices.
  • Seeks opportunities to improve knowledge base by attending departmental meetings, in services and other educational activities.
  • Clinic MSD: Point of care testing, assisting nursing staff with rooming patients and cleaning exam rooms.

Experience Qualifications 2 years Experience in a hospital or clinical setting. Preferred Licenses and Certifications Registered Technologist - ARRT Required Licensed Radiology Technologist (LRT) - KSBHA Kansas license must be obtained within 60 days of hire Basic Life Support - BLS Required within 90 days of hire
