Ability to maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as: motors, pneumatic equipment, conveyor systems and elevators, storage tanks and bins, internal gear pumps, positive displacement pumps, steam boilers and hot oil heaters.
Ability to follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment. Ability to inspect and perform data collection by using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Ability to remove perform internal inspection, dismantle, rebuild and reassemble asset components by using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools.
Ability to create hand sketches of assemblies, as well as understand dimensional drawings, bills of materials and equipment service manuals.
Ability to fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment such as lathe, drill press, milling machine, grinders etc.
Comfortable using Maximo or similar computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery. Knowledge of condition monitoring techniques (vibration and ultrasound analysis, precision lubrication etc.) desirable.
Ability to work as a team with other trades people, operators and contractors as required.
Ability to maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with Company's procedures, rules, and regulations.
Requirements
Must have a valid Ontario Millwright Mechanic License
Exposure with mechanical devices, pneumatic controls and welding/cutting
Prefer 5-8 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
Must be able to read mechanical drawings
Must be able to work shifts as well as some extended hours and weekends
Qualified applicants will have good interpersonal and problem solving skills and able to work with other trades and operators
