MAIN DUTIES: The Receiving Clerk will m aintain proper control and accountability in purchase orders, receive merchandise, kitchen supplies inventory, stationary inventory, and parcel packages record. This position requires consistent adherence to the policies and procedures of the department as outlined in the 1 Hotel Standard Operating Procedures. GENERAL DUTIES: Receive, inspect and verify all hotel deliveries against purchase order to ensure that the merchandise specifications, quality, count, price, etc. are as ordered. Ensure that adequate control is maintained over all goods received from the point of receipt to the point of storage or final delivery. Inform the adequate department head of any deficiencies or questionable items. Receive and log all parcel packages that arrive to the Hotel. Complete the Daily Receiving Report for Non-Food Items and send them to Accounts Payable. Ensure that all guest packages including overnight packages are logged and delivered to concierge and that all Banquet group packages are signed upon received by Banquet Set-Up. Conduct a bi-weekly kitchen paper supply and weekly office supply order to ensure that proper inventory levels are maintained for business demands Follows progressive discipline procedures as appropriate. Provides for the safety and security of the employees or the property. Demonstrates personal integrity. Use effective listening skills. Demonstrates self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm. Informs and/or updates the leadership team, peers and subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner. Manages time well and possesses strong organizational skills. Embody the 1 Hotels Vision, Mission, and Compass; deliver on Our Promise, provide Good- Natured Service and uphold our Brand Pillars. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: At least 1 years of related Finance and Accounting experience in a hotel Strong organization skills Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, pull and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally, 30 pounds frequently and 25 pounds constantly. Able to stand for long periods of time Proficient in verbal and written English communication Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position.
