The Louisiana State University School of Music invites applications for a tenure-track position, Assistant Professor of French horn, with appointment to begin in Fall 2026. We seek artist-performers and teachers with demonstrated ability to attract a large studio of students who value learning in an engaged, collaborative, and vibrant school culture.
Job Responsibilities:
Teach applied horn in all degree programs, teach brass-specific courses, coach chamber music, advise graduate students; recruit promising student musicians
Build and maintain a national and international profile as performer and teacher; participate with faculty in chamber music, and contribute broadly to the artistic and educational milieu of a major School of Music at a Research I, flagship university
