POSITION SUMMARY The Team Lead Mortgage Consultant serves as a producing leader who supports the sales team through coaching, training, and performance enablement. This role bridges the gap between individual contributors and management, helping drive production while fostering team development and collaboration. The Team Lead Mortgage Consultant plays a vital role in driving team success, improving loan conversion, and enhancing the sales culture. By combining production with leadership support, this role helps elevate individual and team performance. Duties and Responsibilities Maintains personal loan production goals while supporting team performance. Demonstrates best practices in loan origination, client engagement, and compliance. Acts as a second voice on calls to support originators and improve conversion. Provides real-time coaching and feedback to team members. Leads daily huddles and weekly training sessions focused on sales techniques, product knowledge, and pipeline management. Monitors team pipeline and identifies opportunities for improvement. Partners with Sales Manager to address performance gaps and celebrate wins. Shares insights and strategies to help team members overcome objections and close more loans. Promotes a positive, high-energy team culture aligned with Newrez values. Serves as a liaison between originators and leadership to ensure alignment and transparency. Encourages collaboration and peer-to-peer learning. Assists with onboarding and mentoring new team members. Supports compliance with Newrez Code of Conduct and regulatory guidelines. Participates in leadership meetings and contributes to strategic planning. Ability to effectively and accurately convey information to others. Performs related duties as assigned by management. Qualifications and Education Requirements 6+ years in mortgage sales or originations. NMLS License required. Prior experience mentoring or coaching peers preferred. Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead by example and inspire team performance. Skilled in pipeline management and sales enablement. Proficiency in Encompass, Excel, and Microsoft Office. High emotional intelligence and ability to foster team cohesion. Work Environment and Physical Requirements Working on-site at assigned office location. Regular and punctual attendance adhering to schedule established by leadership. Flexibility to work occasional adjusted work schedules, overtime, and evening and/or weekend hours to meet deadlines or as business needs demand. Working in a cubicle hub, maintaining focus on phone calls in a noisy environment within earshot of multiple other conversations. Sedentary work in a stationary position at a cubicle for prolonged periods of time. Constant repetitive motions required for operating a computer, such as typing and managing phone calls. Constantly communicating effectively verbally in English, including accurately exchanging information with others following identification of correct procedures. REVISION HISTORY Last Updated: 10/27/2025 A good faith estimate of the compensation is: 15,080.00 - 60,000.00 Compensation for this position may also include other elements, including medical, financial, various paid time off benefits, and a bonus based on individual and company performance, variable or annual.
