Lead and manage the Engineering Application Team catering to domestic segments including Truck, Construction, Agriculture, Utility Vehicles, Bus & Cinema Seating
Drive product design and development activities aligned with customer specifications and market needs
Ensure timely execution of projects from concept to production launch
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain)
Product Development & Lifecycle Management
Own complete lifecycle of seat products including Concept design, Engineering development, Validation & testing, Industrialization & launch
Ensure adherence to cost, quality, and timeline targets
Promote innovation in design, comfort, safety, and durability
Engineering Services (Global Support)
Lead Engineering Services Team supporting global inter-company locations
Drive standardization, knowledge sharing, and best practices across regions
Ensure high-quality and timely delivery of engineering outputs for global projects
Testing & Validation
Oversee in-house test laboratory operations and capability enhancement
Ensure all validation activities meet internal and customer standards
Manage regulatory testing through ARAI, Third-party laboratories
Ensure compliance with applicable automotive and safety regulations
Team Leadership & Capability Building
Develop a high-performing engineering organization
Mentor and guide team members to enhance technical and leadership skills
Drive a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
Stakeholder Management
Interface with customers, suppliers, and global engineering teams
Represent engineering function in leadership discussions and business strategy planning
Ensure customer satisfaction through strong technical delivery and responsiveness

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's/master's degree in mechanical / automotive engineering or related field
17+ years of experience in automotive engineering, preferably in seating systems
Proven leadership experience managing large engineering teams
Strong understanding of design, validation, and regulatory requirements
Experience working with global engineering teams is preferred
