Hastings Deering is expanding our team on-site, and 2026 brings exciting opportunities to work on our fleet of 796AC trucks. You will work as part of a site-based team supporting activities at Carmichael Mine. Working a Day/Night 7/7 roster with coal mine rates, incentives and allowances! As a Diesel Fitter at Hastings Deering, you will: Perform maintenance, repair and recondition jobs on equipment as directed Plan, coordinate and organise your daily service requirements Maintain and complete all paperwork associated with job completion Ensure the quality of your work is of the highest standards at all times Provide timely and regular updates and communications between internal and external stakeholders Who are we and why work with us? About You A successful teammate will have experience in: Trade Qual and demonstrated service and repair experience on CAT, preferably ULTRA CLASS Electric Drive Current coal board medical and a Std 11 Qualification or the ability to acquire via HDAL Well-developed communication and customer service skills The ability to work autonomously and as a team as required Demonstrated and proven ability with desktop computers and devices Experience on Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems (ET Vims, SIMSi and SIS) Commitment to a high level of workplace health and safety Interested?
