Teacher - Maternity Cover (Early Intervention)

Responsibilities

• Deliver and refine individualised lesson plans using AltSchool's play-responsive, child-led approach to support student learning and engagement
• Manage and monitor progress of Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's developmental goals
• Lead and mentor classroom Assistant Teachers to maintain effective classroom management and a supportive learning environment
• Collaborate with speech and occupational therapists and families to coordinate holistic student development strategies
• Track and document student progress accurately using the school management app and Google Workspace tools
• Preferred competencies and qualifications
• Degree or Diploma in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in special education or therapy settings
• Proven experience implementing IEPs and managing classroom dynamics
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and digital education management tools
• Certifications in specialized methodologies (e.g., DIR Floortime) are highly advantageous
