Transport Management Duties Fleet Operations & Maintenance: Oversee daily vehicle schedules, coordinate maintenance routines, and manage inspections to ensure roadworthiness and regulatory compliance. [1] Driver Administration: Recruit, train, roster, and evaluate a team of drivers. This includes managing duty shifts, payroll, and performance. [1, 2, 3, 4] Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all vehicles and drivers comply with local transport regulations (e.g., LTA and Traffic Police requirements in Singapore). Implement and enforce defensive driving and safety policies. [1, 2, 3, 4] Customer Relations & Quotations: Handle client inquiries, prepare quotations for transport services, and manage passenger feedback or complaints. [1, 2] 2. Bus Captain Duties Safe Vehicle Operation: Safely drive company buses for assigned routes, scheduled trips, or ad-hoc charter/shuttle services. [1] Passenger Service: Provide a comfortable, welcoming journey for passengers, assist commuters with boarding/alighting, and ensure adherence to timetables. [1, 2, 3] Service Recovery & Troubleshooting: Step in to drive during driver shortages or emergencies. Troubleshoot on-road breakdowns, perform basic vehicle checks, and manage unexpected traffic delays.
