About the role

Seaport Entertainment is looking for a Host to be based in The Fulton! Reporting directly to the General Manager , this role is responsible for welcoming/greeting guests to the restaurant and ensuring that they are seated and receive attentive service. The Host duties include maintaining a waitlist of guests during service, distributing menus, confirming restaurant contact information to guests, accepting phone calls, making and adjusting reservations , a s well as working with the service team to ensure the restaurant is seated in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome guests upon arrival, manage the waitlist efficiently, and escort them to their designated tables, providing a positive first impression.
• Handle reservations, confirm bookings, and maintain an organized system to optimize table turnover and accommodate guest preferences.
• Effectively communicate with the restaurant staff to coordinate seating arrangements, manage guest flow, and address any special requests or considerations.
• Assist guests with inquiries, provide information about the menu, and offer guidance on restaurant policies to ensure a seamless dining experience.
• Keep the host/ hostess station and waiting area tidy, contributing to the overall cleanliness and attractiveness of the restaurant.
• Address guest concerns or issues with professionalism and tact, seeking assistance from management when needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as answering phones, managing reservations, and coordinating with servers, while maintaining a positive and composed demeanor.
• Promote special events , menu items, or promotions to guests, contributing to increased sales and overall customer enjoyment.
• Work collaboratively with the serving staff, kitchen team, and management to facilitate a smooth and efficient dining service.
• About You
• 1+ year of host experience in a fine dining, high volume setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage waitlist dynamics effectively.
• Positive and friendly attitude, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• Familiarity with reservation systems and basic restaurant operations is a plus.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Physical Requirements
• Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards .
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10 - 30 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds on a regular (or occasional basis).
• Ability to stand for prolong periods of time.
• Compensation: $ 1 8 - $24 per hour
