Perform set-up and take-down of tables, chairs, and other equipment for the Wildflower Center or privately sponsored events held on-site. Support special events outside of normal working hours.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
At least one year of experience as a laborer
Prior experience cleaning and maintaining facilities
Valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record
Dependable transportation to and from the Wildflower Center
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to use handheld power tools and cleaning equipment
Ability to withstand outdoor conditions
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Requirements
More than the required experience as a laborer
Two years of experience performing custodial and maintenance tasks in a garden, museum or event setting
Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry repairs
First Aid, CPR, AED certification
Driving Required

$41,600
Working Conditions
Must be willing and able to work outside in all types of weather.
May be exposed to hazardous wildlife, horticultural chemicals, dust, fumes, smoke, and loud noises.
Physical stamina and ability to lift, push and pull fifty pounds is required.
Works independently and unsupervised on a regular basis.
Work Shift
Five day, 8-hour work days: Sunday through Thursday, 10:00am-6:30pm
Occasional evenings, weekends and holidays will be required for mission related events.

Purpose
As a part of the Facilities Team, perform general and specialized custodial and repair work in and around the Wildflower Center's buildings, grounds, and other facilities. This full-time position will require a 5-day work week schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 10am-6:30pm.
