Job Summary: MaineGeneral Health is seeking an experienced Practice Administrator to join our primary care team at Thayer Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. This position will work closely with physician, nursing staff and support staff to direct, lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the practice. The Practice Administrator will also assist in long-term planning, project development, and supporting the team in providing top-notch patient focused care. Successful candidate will have prior medical office management experience, demonstrate professionalism, and have strong leadership skills. This requires someone who is mission driven and can define and drive your team's strategy. Must love to mentor, provide leadership and professional guidance, and comfortable to roll up their sleeves and get the job done! Job Description: Key Duties & Responsibilities Works closely with Service Line Director in developing specific goals, standards, and objectives, which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the practices and the organization. Facilitates positive relationships within the practice and throughout the organization. Oversees quality of patient care, access to service, and patient satisfaction. Manages physician/staff relations, including performance management, satisfaction, and conflict management. Manages budgets, regulatory compliance, and vendor relations. Coordinates with revenue cycle and associated departments to meet fiscal goals. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies. Skills/Experience Desired Bachelor's degree in Health Administration or related field is preferred At least 3 years of previous supervisory experience preferably in a health care setting Strong leadership and relationship building skills Passion for providing exceptional customer service and positive patient experiences. Sense of urgency in responsiveness to concerns of patients, staff, and providers. Desire to excel in a patient-centered environment Must be adaptable to working in a fast-past environment where priorities can change quickly Ability to maintain a professional manner even under stressful situations.
