Requirements
Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Public Administration, or a related field.
Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in strategic project management, program management, operations leadership, or related experience.
Demonstrated experience leading large-scale, cross-functional strategic initiatives in complex organizations.
Experience in healthcare, large corporate, academic, or highly matrixed environments preferred.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
Lean Six Sigma or related process improvement certification preferred.

Job Summary
The Director of the Strategic Project Management Office (SPMO) directs and oversees the Project Management staff to ensure programs and projects meet organizational goals and requirements. The Director is responsible for establishing the structure of project plans for strategic projects, including major capital projects and organization-wide initiatives. The Director will ensure projects are executed and finalized within established deadlines and within budget. The Director will partner with key organizational and operational leaders to identify and achieve priorities, goals, and objectives for each initiative. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members in order to deliver projects according to plan. As needed, the Director will directly manage a portfolio of projects.
