Business Function
Group Legal, Compliance & Secretariat ensures that the organisation's interests are protected by safeguarding and enhancing its reputation and capital. The function works closely with regulators, customers, and business partners to maintain strong regulatory standing. At the core of business banking is a commitment to trust, integrity, and responsible financial practices for all stakeholders.
Champion Agile delivery methodologies by defining requirements, solution design, managing UAT, and overseeing deployment of enhanced screening capabilities. Maintain end-to-end ownership from concept through post-implementation review.

Performance Reporting & Stakeholder Insights
Produce regular management reports with actionable insights based on key performance indicators and trend analysis. Provide timely support for ad-hoc analysis and stakeholder queries to support informed business decisions.
Requirements
Experience & Foundation
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a quantitative or technical discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Data Science).
8-10 years of progressive experience in financial services, consulting, or related industries, with strong exposure to financial crime prevention and analytics.
Technical Acumen
Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and languages (e.g. Python, SQL); cloud platform experience is mandatory.
Exposure to big data technologies and data warehousing solutions is highly advantageous.
Proven ability to analyse large, complex datasets (millions of records) to derive insights and support strategic decisions.
Advanced proficiency in data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau).
Familiarity with financial crime detection and screening platforms.

Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Strong commercial awareness with a data-driven approach to managing financial crime risk and system performance.
Highly detail-oriented and risk-aware, with the ability to identify data inconsistencies and potential biases.
Project & Domain Expertise
Demonstrated experience leading complex initiatives spanning IT, analytics, and business functions.
Strong understanding of AML/CFT/KYC regulatory frameworks and financial crime risk management.
Experience with screening engines is advantageous.
Communication & Influence
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to senior stakeholders.
Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence outcomes across cross-functional teams.
