Job Summary Sandvik is seeking applications from motivated individuals for Underground Remote Support Planner based in Balikpapan. This position is responsible for Building communication and providing support related to maintenance activities at customers related to Sandvik Underground machines, bridging between site operations, customers, supply chain, and factory to ensure timely parts delivery, effective communication, and minimal equipment downtime in accordance with Sandvik standards. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES - Develop and maintain overhaul parts planning based on maintenance strategy, unit operating hours, OEM recommendations, and overhaul scope of work. - Prepare parts forecast and ensure availability of critical and long-lead items prior to overhaul execution. - Perform parts gap analysis and risk assessment to support unit availability targets. - Prioritize parts allocation for breakdown, major overhaul, and campaign programs. - Act as the main point of contact with the factory regarding parts lead time, manufacturing status, shipment, and technical updates. - Coordinates expedite actions for critical parts impacting operational continuity. - Manage part supersession, engineering changes, and alternative part solutions in coordination with factory and engineering teams. - Communicate parts status, risks, and estimated delivery dates (ETA) to customers and internal stakeholders. - Support site planners and service supervisors to ensure material readiness before overhaul execution. - Coordinate schedule adjustments due to parts constraints in alignment with customer operational requirements. - Support warranty, claim, and goodwill-related parts processes when required. - Monitor and report overhaul parts tracking, backorders, and critical item status. - Analyze parts consumption and failure trends to improve future planning accuracy. - Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to parts planning, inventory optimization, and aftermarket support processes. - Ensure all planning and parts-related activities comply with Sandvik policies, contractual obligations, and OEM standards. - Utilize ERP and maintenance systems to manage work orders, parts reservation, forecasting, and reporting with accurate documentation. COLLABORATION WITH OTHER BUSINESS LINE As the matrix organization you will be collaborating with many people within Sandvik in both global and SEA regions, including Business Line Managers and factories in Tampere Direct report to Service Suptend and Dotline report to Service Manager SUPERVISION/MANAGE/ACT AS A COACH Other Service Technician with less experience. PREFERRED ENVIRONMENT & MOBILITY Field - Any environment (Location Customer Sites / Workshops). Willing to travel globally within Sandvik area and/or from site to site within country of Indonesia. EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Over 4 years of experience in maintenance, ideally in the mining or heavy equipment industry. Proven track record in maintaining, planning operational support (e.g., loaders, drill rigs, underground trucks) Experience in maintenance planner for parts forecasting Strong understanding of heavy equipment overhaul and aftermarket support processes Effective communication and coordination skills across multiple stakeholders Analytical mindset with strong planning and problem-solving capabilities Proficiency in ERP / maintenance management systems Ability to work under schedule pressure in an operational mining environment Intermediate English proficiency (CEFR Level B1).
