At least three to four years related experience and/or proven experience and achievement in Warehouse environment
OHSA and HACCP experience
Knowledge of MS Office Suite of products
Knowledge using warehouse management system and electronic trading technology
General understanding of hotel and business operations
Experience using BirchStreet system (BSS) or other similar system is definitely a plus
Education
Logistic Bachelor's degree or relevant tertiary qualification or strong background and knowledge in warehouse management system.
Skills / Competencies
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple job tasks, and to meet deadlines
Bilingual a must - Cantonese / English
Current valid driver's license and clean driving record, commercial vehicle license a plus
Certification in the operation of forklifts, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment
Knowledge of inventory management and requisition procedures

POSITION SUMMARY:
The position is responsible for assisting the Manager, Warehouse with the management of warehouse staff, warehousing management control and the day to day operation of the warehouse and storerooms.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage all primary warehouse and store facilities as well as secondary off site facilities
Manage the warehouse staff, warehouse storage space and warehouse inventory
Plan, organise, implement and review warehouse activities to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
Management of stores distribution and movement to and from the Warehouse and Stores
Ensure implementations of Standard Operating Procedures within the warehouse environment to ensure that the department is in compliance with all company policies and procedures
Manage, monitor and maintain proper inventory records of the movement of goods in and out of the Warehouse
Ensure that stock levels are securely maintained to meet customer needs and inventory budgets
Ensure that all inventory reports are prepared timely and accurately
Monitor and control rotating stock to ensure quality accuracy, delivery and distribution of stock
Manage the staff roster to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained in line with the financial year budget forecast
Ensure Occupational Safety & Health practices and policies are implemented and adhered to
Manage, identify, coach and develop team to ensure performance and requirements are met
To develop positive approach and maintain a trusting relationship and working rapport with team members to maximize effectiveness and efficiency
Liaise and communicate with external suppliers and internal clients
Check and monitor all operational procedures and raise corrective actions or recommend change to procedures as required
Ensure the safety and security of warehouse and storerooms are maintained and monitored
Conduct cyclical physical stock check for all inventories and investigate significant discrepancies
Provide guidance to warehouse staffs in accordance with company's code of conduct and warehouse management ethics
Clean and maintain entire warehouse and all equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on forklift. Responsible for securing the premises.
