Perform monthly flux, variance, and trend analyses and clearly communicate key drivers to management

Identify anomalies, risks, and opportunities for improved accuracy or efficiency in financial reporting

Payroll & Compensation Accounting Support

Oversee accounting for payroll, bonuses, commissions, benefits, and equity‑based compensation in coordination with Payroll, HR, and Total Rewards

Review payroll reports and ensure proper recording in the general ledger

Support payroll‑related accruals and reconciliations as part of the broader close process

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Partner with Payroll, HR, Tax, FP&A, and other Finance teams to ensure appropriate accounting treatment and data alignment

Coordinate with onshore and offshore accounting teams to resolve open items and maintain consistent accounting practices

Participate in system enhancements, process improvements, and new initiatives from an accounting standpoint

Compliance, Controls & Audits

Ensure compliance with US GAAP, SOX requirements, and internal accounting policies

Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation

Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls and assist in remediation where needed

Maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and documentation

Technical Accounting & Projects

Research accounting guidance and support the application of technical accounting conclusions

Assist with complex or non‑routine transactions, including compensation arrangements and other special projects

Drive or support continuous improvement initiatives with increasing ownership and minimal supervision

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

4+ years of progressive accounting experience

Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial close processes

Hands‑on experience with journal entries, reconciliations, account analysis, and audit support

Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment

Requirements

CPA or CPA‑eligible strongly preferred
Public accounting experience (Big 4 or national/regional firm) highly preferred
Experience in a large corporate, shared services, or complex environment
Exposure to payroll, compensation, or benefits accounting
Experience working with ERP systems and modern financial tools (e.g., Workday, SAP, NetSuite)
Experience collaborating with offshore or global accounting teams
