As the District Manager , you won't just follow a plan; you'll shape it. Your Mandate: Ownership and Success You will own the success of the Louisiana District. This means: Commanding the P&L: You will not just manage a budget; you will drive profitability. You will direct the creation and execution of annual capital and operating budgets, taking full responsibility for meeting cost targets and financial objectives. Think of this as running your own multi-million dollar business unit. Orchestrating the Operation: From the first seedling to the final log delivery, you are responsible for the entire process. You will oversee harvest planning, the entire silvicultural lifecycle (reforestation to commercial thinning), and a robust transportation network. You make sure that our products fulfill commitments, adhere to strict quality specifications, and are delivered to customers on time. Pioneering Innovation: Success means optimization. You will work with our Business Development, Land Services and Portfolio Management teams to unlock the full potential of company lands, identifying and implementing the best land uses to maximize value. Expertise in Action: A bachelor's in Forestry or closely related field is required. A master's degree in a related field is preferred. A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in forest operations and five (5)+ years in a supervisory role. Business Savvy: You understand that forestry is a business. Experience with P&L and complex budget management is a must. You can analyze data, see trends, and make decisive, profit-oriented decisions. A Natural Leader: You are a natural motivator and mentor.
