  • Key point of contact for fee earners and clients to maintain relationships and ensure a high level of support is always provided by the team.
  • Liaising with and providing support to their immediate colleagues in the department, and where practical, other legal and support departments as requested by the Team Leader.
  • Answering phone calls for other members of the team when they are away from their desk and participating in a lunch time telephone rota within the Practice Assistant team.
  • Liaising with and taking direction from your Legal Support Manager and Team Leader.
  • Liaise with the Legal Support Manager and Team Leader over any planned absences, arranging cover as necessary and communicating this to the relevant fee earners.

  • Assisting fee earners with billing related tasks.
  • Reviewing and updating time allocation and disbursements ensuring appropriate matter allocation.
  • Request cheques, bank transfers, and paying in money received, as appropriate.

The Team Acting as the primary point of contact for fee earners at Associate level and below within the Cairo office, this role is responsible for delivering a comprehensive range of Legal Support Assistant services. The position plays a vital role in ensuring seamless workflow coordination, document production, and administrative support, either directly or through effective collaboration with Administrative Assistants and the Document Production team based in Egypt and the GBS hub. Full ownership and accountability for task completion is expected. The Legal Support Assistant provides a high-quality, comprehensive service that enhances fee-earner efficiency and ensures exceptional client support. This includes proactive coordination of business, administrative, and compliance-related functions, while supporting operational continuity across legal, billing, HR, and client engagement processes. The role will report to the Legal Support Team Leader.
