The Business Banking Relationship Officer Team is made up of Business Banking Relationship Officers, Treasury Management Officers, Underwriters, Client Managers, and Analysts. As the Business Banking Relationship Officer Sr. , you will be selling bank products and services to companies with revenues between $1mm-$35mm. These products and services are Commercial & Industrial, Practice Finance and Payment Technology solutions that will entice prospective companies to award new business to UMB. You will engage and build relationships in the community with Business Owners, CFO's, CEO's , and Controllers. You will also manage existing business, maintaining relationship profitability & portfolio risk, and the profitable growth of the portfolio including loans, deposits, & fee income. You have the ability to help clients achieve their financial dreams, streamline business processes and help them better understand their working cash flow needs. How you'll spend your time: You will utilize your networking abilities in the community by participating in community and professional activities in order to enhance UMB's image and brand to build new business. You will generate investment real estate loans up to $5MM per transaction. You will utilize your credit skills to qualify companies eligible for loan business while managing the overall credit quality of assigned portfolio to ensure the loan quality. You will utilize your negotiation skills to negotiate loan proposals, analyze & evaluate credit requests & write loan commitments, for presentation to underwriter or loan committee for loan approval. Utilizing your communications skills, you will serve as the primary contact for all financial services to individual Business Banking clients with the bank to ensure retention of business. You have demonstrated experience in sales to small businesses, credit knowledge, and credit underwriting knowledge. As the Business Banking Relationship Manager I I, you will be responsible for managing the strategic client relationships in Business Banking which will include managing an existing portfolio of business and the acquisition of new business . Clients generally are between $1MM and $ 2 0MM in annual revenue. How you'll spend your time: You will g enerate, retain , & expand lending, investment and deposit relationship with new and existing clients through client referrals, centers of influence & direct prospecting. You wi ll develop, generate and follow-up on new client leads through existing clients, client referrals, COI referrals, & prospecting. You will manage overall relationship profitability & portfolio risk and is responsible for profitable growth of the portfolio assigned ( includes loans, deposits, & fee income) . Act as a consultant to clients and a resource to the Bank in developing & retaining business. Yo u will provide insight & ideas for enhancing client relationships, client cash flow, profitability, and efficiency. You will manage the overall credit quality of assigned portfolio ( includes sales, credit analysis, loan structuring, client and prospect interviews). You will monitor & manage existing credit relationship , which includes note renewals, reviewing & detailed analysis of current financial statements & collateral valuations, credit analysis, cash flow analysis, delinquency reporting, documenting exceptions & covenant monitoring, compiling reports necessary to monitor asset & credit quality and compliance with policy/regulation. You will negotiate loan proposals, analyze & evaluate credit requests & write loan commitments, recommend appropriate credit grade , make oral/written presentation to underwriter or loan committee , and implement approval/declination action . You will serve as the primary link for all financial services to the individual Business Banking client with the bank ( i.e. Treasury Services, International, Trust, and Cash Vault).
