Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of proven experience in space systems software development, testing, and execution
Knowledge of space mission operations and satellite systems
Proven experience in software development and testing within the aerospace industry or similar
Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Spacecraft Flight software experience
Command & control software experience
Software or scripting language experience
Experience with spacecraft & ground system interface test requirements and use of Engineering Development Units (EDUs) for Unit and Integration testing
Software and Hardware in the loop testing
Knowledge of current systems engineering test and integration tools and methodologies
Enjoys a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment
Possess skills in strategic system thinking, excellent written and oral communication skills, proactive in moving the program forward through team collaborations to achieve timely decisions, ability to earn trust, and maintain positive and professional relationships
Active Top Secret (TS) / Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance with Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with polygraph

Familiarity with System Architecture frameworks such as the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DODAF), Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), or NASA Space Mission Architecture Framework (SMAF)
Experience with verification of requirements and using Systems Engineering tools such as DOORs, ETM, Windchill and Cameo.
Compensation Range for:

This role is within the Mission Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) team and supports the Mission Integration team in defining system level software requirements, interfaces, and testing.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Support the definition of multiple candidate architectures for software interfaces to meet evolving customer needs for a growing set of mission types with a new product line of spacecraft in development
Collaborate with flight and ground software teams to define, develop, and integrate software systems
Develop hardware to software interface definitions and execute the designs through the program lifecycle
Design, develop, and implement comprehensive mission software test plans and procedures for space missions and their interfaces
Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts related to software development, testing, and use
Continuously enhance testing methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness
