Job Description Summary We are looking for a Software Engineering Intern who will be working with a team of software engineers and design engineers to develop next generation engineering software solutions for up to 11 months, with an initial 6-month period and an optional 5-month extension, to be employed in our team. Work location will be Kartal, Istanbul. Job Description Site Overview : GE Aerospace has an advanced engineering center located in İstanbul, Kartal, complemented by cutting-edge laboratories in Kocaeli and Gebze. Our offices in İstanbul and Ankara provide essential support to commercial and defense engines across the country. Our highly skilled engineers at the Türkiye Technology Center contribute to GE Aerospace's engineering work on indigenous programs, new engine programs, software development, and additive manufacturing, supporting the country's position as an advanced aerospace hub. Role Overview: Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project Understand performance parameters and can assess application performance The Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate is a self-motivated and eager-to-learn Engineering or STEM student with hands-on software coding experience, a strong understanding of core data structures and algorithms, and a collaborative mindset to contribute to cutting-edge aerospace engineering projects in a dynamic and respectful team environment. Required Qualifications: BSc (year 3rd/4th not graduated) or MSc student of related Engineering departments Mechanical, Computer Engineering etc. or STEM. Have awareness of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques Understand core data structures and algorithms and has the ability to implement them using language of choice.
