We are looking for a passionate team player our tire reinforcements Research & Development (RnD) team situated at the premises of our internal textile converter Continental Indústria Textil do Ave (C-ITA) . Your tasks will include: - Optimization of reinforcement portfolio (steel and textile) with a focus on quality, cost and safe supply in close cooperation with departments of central purchasing (CP), supplier development (SD) and supplier quality management (SQM) - Development and ownership of advanced material specifications and quality guidelines to ensure a stable and robust tire performance - Collaborate with internal and external suppliers on technical development; build up of advanced know-how for reinforcement related supplier processes Academic degree in natural science, engineering or comparable Basic knowledge of reinforcement materials and testing is beneficial Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset Proactive, willingness to bring topics forward Strong customer orientation and problem-solving mind set Intercultural competency along with a clear and open communication style Intercultural competence and a collaborative working style Very good written and oral English and Portuguese language skills German communication skills is a plus Willingness to travel (national and international) alongside ability to collaborate remotely Challenging and international work environment, featured by the existence of state-of-the-art technologies Local employment determined contract for specific temporary replacement Legal authorization to work in Europe is required.
