Responsibilities

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Certificate in process technology or a maintenance-related field (preferred), or a minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, processing, or chemical/petrochemical environment; candidates with SkillsUSA participation are encouraged to apply
- Students with a background in Industrial Systems, Electromechanical Technology, Process Technology, Electrical Technology, Instrumentation Technology are encouraged to apply.
- Strong mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical proficiency preferred
- Experience with pumps, mechanical seals, vessels, exchangers, gear drives, compressors, rotating equipment, and/or electrical/instrumentation systems is a plus
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and continuous improvement
- Willingness to work weekends and participate in an on-call rotation as needed
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Experience with plant/refinery instrumentation and electrical systems strongly preferred
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office
- This is a safety-sensitive position
- Work Hours:
- Must be willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts, weekends, and participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently on nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs and lift a minimum of 50 lbs
- Must be able to meet call-in requirements as needed

The Port Arthur facility includes two Steam Methane Reformers (SMRs) with integrated gas turbine generators, as well as CO₂ capture systems at both SMRs, supporting enhanced oil recovery. The site is connected to an existing hydrogen pipeline system that spans from New Orleans to the Houston Ship Channel, supplying hydrogen to an integrated network serving customers across the Gulf Coast. As an operator, you are responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment within the facility. The primary function of this role is to provide technical, hands-on support to continuously improve plant operations, maintenance, mechanical equipment integrity, reliability, cost efficiency, and overall on-stream performance.
