The expected hourly pay range for this position with a work schedule of 40 hours per week is $39.00 - $57.00 ($81,120.00 - $118,560.00 annually). Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.

Position summary: The Litigation Paralegal is responsible for providing paralegal support during all phases of the litigation process, from the commencement of a new action to the discovery period and through trial and post-trial findings and appeals. The paralegal will be expected to handle diverse and multiple responsibilities, which include but are not limited, the following:
Position responsibilities:
Document and information management:
Organize and maintain case material and e-rooms
Prepare documents for Bates-numbering, redaction, duplication/scanning and indexing
Categorize and maintain files in chronological, numerical, and subject matter order to meet litigation team objectives
Work with Litigation Support & E-Discovery Services and vendors on e-discovery and electronic productions
Under the guidance of an attorney, prepare chronologies, indices, and summaries of information and facts gleaned from discovery
Conduct document searches and factual research:
Work with Litigation Support to create and maintain internal case databases for the cataloging and retrieval of documents
Conduct database searches and organize information retrieved in a coherent and concise manner
Utilize library resources and conduct fact research from publicly available sources
Prepare for and attend depositions:
Coordinate deposition logistics
Assist attorneys in preparing witness files and exhibits to be used at deposition
Attend deposition with attorney to take notes, handle exhibits during the deposition, and digest transcripts to summarize highlights of a proceeding
Motion practice and court filings:
Assist in the drafting of motions and briefs
Create briefing books
Bluebook/Cite check, proofread, and assemble exhibits related to filing
Electronically file brief or coordinate filing with Firm's Managing Clerk or other designated personnel trained to e-file
Coordinate service of process and courtesy copies
Prepare for and attend trials:
Coordinate trial logistics and liaison with Trial Support Manager, as necessary
Organize and track exhibits, files and all other supporting documents
Assist attorneys in the courtroom by taking notes and operating courtroom presentation software
Assist in the preparation of witness testimony
Other:
Bill a minimum of 1600 hours annually
Turn in time sheets, e-timelogs and fulfill other administrative duties in a timely fashion
All other duties as assigned or required
