NAB Vietnam is looking for an excellent Head of Engineering for Customer Enabling Technology (CET) with strong leadership experience to drive the engineering standards and capabilities across our exciting products. This includes Customer Onboarding and Mastery, Financial Crime and Fraud Technologies. As the Head of Engineering, you will own the implementation and the ongoing operations of an IT asset roadmap, support strategy definition, and be responsible for leading and motivating a multi-disciplinary team of dynamic, highly skilled technical team leads and individuals.
Responsibilities
Translate the Customer Onboarding and Mastery, Financial Crime and Fraud's strategic ambitions into an integrated roadmap for strategic execution, and drive this from shaping through to delivery
Lead multiple engineering teams across Customer Onboarding and Mastery, Financial Crime and Fraud Domains to drive outcomes - hence Domain knowledge of these areas is desirable.
Work closely with the business teams, product owners to validate requirements before and after delivery through showcases and Day 2 production monitoring
Own not just the build, but the runtime of applications in production through active operational support, clearly defined support model with engineers proficient in site reliability engineering
Own and lead the efforts of cyber security updates such as keeping software currency versions up to date, patch infrastructure every sprint
Oversee investment delivery across CET to maintain alignment between Domains, ensure investment is spent effectively, and provide insights on effectiveness and prioritisation of spend
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Proven people leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to bring out the best in those around you and enable the success of others
You'll bring capabilities to build teams from scratch, nurture their careers, create and lead the vision end to end for Business outcomes
Deep experience in the Australian and/or global banking markets, with detailed knowledge of operating practices, business models, market challenges, best practices and competitive dynamics
Passion for Financial Crime, Fraud or Customer Onboarding and keeping customers safe
Proven capability in managing complex stakeholder relationships, supporting senior leaders to shape their thinking whilst facing into challenging topics
A demonstrated track record of business execution and program delivery, coupled with tenacity and resilience to navigate challenges whilst remaining on schedule
Practical communication skills to translate needs at a strategic and operational level internally and externally, making effective decisions and balancing client, business, and stakeholder needs
You'll have gravitas in senior leadership forums across NAB, and will be able to quickly secure the trust and respect of executive peers and new and existing stakeholders
