Senior Cloud Engineer - Platform & SRE (DevOps)(Kubernetes, IaC, GitOps) (8 - 12 Years)

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and maintain applications in public, private, and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
• Automate wherever possible, enabling our infrastructure and platforms to scale effortlessly.
• Participate in and contribute to improving our 24x7 incident response and on-call rotation.
• Capacity planning for the infrastructure and platform to help teams prepare for growth.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across our infrastructure and platform services.
• Implement observability solutions including monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing.
• Contribute to infrastructure security hardening and compliance initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 8+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering role.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi.
• Strong experience with public and private cloud providers like AWS, OpenStack.
• Experience with container orchestration and management tools: Kubernetes, Docker, Helm.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Harness.
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch).
• Familiarity using AI Tools for debugging and development (CoPilot, Cursor, Codex)
• Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Cilium).
• Knowledge of secrets management tools (HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager).
• Experience with database administration (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch).
• Familiarity with event streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis).

Meet the Team The Webex Data Analytics Platform (WAP) engineering organization is responsible for availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning. The job is to handle the collaboration group's data infrastructure services, maintaining a constantly growing infrastructure capable of handling a very high volume of incoming data per day. We believe in operations/infrastructure/everything as code, which makes our distributed team efficient, functional, and highly effective. We're looking for talented engineers with a software or operations background, experienced in designing and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems in the cloud.
