Job Description: The Guardmaker & Sheetmetal Fabricator will work within the machine shop and will be responsible for operating a variety of equipment including a CNC Amada laser, press brake, welding tools, and other fabrication equipment as part of a cross-functional team that fabricates parts for the companies OEM equipment. We have multiple shift opportunities: 2nd Shift: Monday through Thursday 3:30PM - 2:00AM 2nd Shift: Monday through Wednesday 3:30PM - 3:30AM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for various types of welding such as Mig and Tig. Ability to work with various types of metals such as mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. Ability to operate an Amada break press. Ability to operate an Amada laser. Ability to read and interrupt blueprints. Communicate with team members and leaders to provide work updates. Maintain safety by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Perform all other duties as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: A technical degree/certificate in welding, metal fabrication, or a related field preferred, or 1-2 years of related experience. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Ability to work without direct supervision. Ability to work safely. Ability to learn basic blueprint reading skills. LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITY: This position does not directly supervise other associates. WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Bend, squat, climb, grasp, reach, lift, or otherwise move about frequently and for extended periods of time. Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. regularly, or more occasionally. Walk, stand, or otherwise move about continuously. Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards which may require personal protective equipment. Grasps items and performs keyboarding for the occasional operation of a computer. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Benefits

The approximate pay range for this position is $31.65 + $2.25 shift differential paid hourly .
