Education: Doctoral degree from college or university.
Experience: Five (5) years of experience as a practicing psychologist.
Other: Licensed or licensed and eligible to practice psychology in the State of Maryland.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Knowledge of individual and group psychotherapy, counseling, diagnostic assessment, psychological and career testing, consultation, outreach, and crisis intervention.
Skill in oral and written communication.
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products.
Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
Ability to multitask while demonstrating a commitment to customer service and sensitivity to a culturally and ethnically diverse community.

Job Description Summary
Organization's Summary Statement:
Directly affiliated with the Counseling Service division of the Counseling Center, the staff psychologist will be responsible for providing services to racially and culturally diverse students and the University community by offering individual and group psychotherapy/counseling, diagnostic assessment, psychological and career testing, consultation, outreach, and crisis intervention. The generalist psychologist is skilled in fostering the mental health, academic progress, and career development of University students through a variety of psychotherapeutic and psycho-educational interventions. Clinical supervision and training of interns, externs, practicum students, and other trainees are expected of the psychologist in this position.
