The Student Program Manager, Lonza Scholars Program (Adjunct), coordinates, implements, and manages the UNH-Lonza Scholars Mentorship Program, a multi-year, externally funded initiative designed to provide mentorship, experiential learning, and workforce development opportunities for students pursuing careers in the life sciences. The position plays a central role in ensuring a high-quality experience for student participants and Lonza mentors while supporting program outcomes related to student development and career readiness.
This role operates within the Center for Career and Professional Success and is responsible for managing core program functions, including student-mentor matching, engagement, communication, and program tracking. The position requires strong project management, relationship management, and student support skills to effectively coordinate stakeholders and sustain program success.
Duties/Responsibilities
Program Coordination & Implementation (40%)
Coordinate and implement all aspects of the Lonza Scholars Mentorship Program (supporting up to 16 student scholars annually)
Develop and manage program timelines, activities, and deliverables
Ensure a consistent and high-quality experience across all program components
Student & Mentor Engagement (30%)
Match students with Lonza mentors and facilitate ongoing engagement
Serve as the primary point of contact for students and mentors
Manage communication and relationships with Lonza mentors and stakeholders
Student Support & Development (20%)
Provide individualized support to student participants
Support students in translating mentorship experiences into academic and career outcomes
Reinforce student learning, reflection, and professional growth through the program
Program Tracking, Assessment & Improvement (10%)
Track participation, engagement, and overall program progress
Support program assessment and continuous improvement efforts
Maintain program documentation and reporting as needed
