The Lindenwood University College of Arts and Humanities at Lindenwood University invites applications for an Instructor or Assistant Professor of Communications with specialization in Broadcast communications. Qualified applicants will possess a MA, MFA, or PhD in Communication or Mass Communication, relevant subfields, or a closely related field. The successful candidate will be expected to teach 4 courses (12 credit hours) each semester of Communications coursework. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching online. All Lindenwood faculty members are expected to advise and mentor students, continue to develop their expertise through research and scholarship, and participate in faculty governance and campus life. The Instructor or Assistant Professor of Communications is a full-time, 9-month faculty position that will begin August 13, 2026. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. We seek an enthusiastic teacher and committed colleague whose background demonstrates an ability to lead and teach a range of upper and lower level communication courses in television and video production courses, spearhead student-focused multi-camera production in both field and studio settings, pursue related research, supervise undergraduate research, and contribute service to our university community. These courses may include instruction in multi-camera studio production, sports production, multimedia journalism, writing for media, and mass communication, as well as courses in their specific area of expertise. Additional knowledge and ability in communication studies, journalism, and audio / radio broadcast would be advantageous.
