Position Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, prevention of illness and injury, and the alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response and through advocacy in the care of individuals and families. About the Role: United Health Services, the largest and most comprehensive provider of healthcare services in upstate New York's Southern Tier, is hiring a Staff Registered Nurse, Float Pool to join our team at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. The Float Pool consists of RNs who are agile and able to adapt to the units where needed most. This unit offers variety, ever changing needs, and ability to learn different units.
Schedule: 12 hour shifts; every other weekend
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Move to different units where needed
Keeping a close eye on patient vital signs and responding when needed
Collaborating with our healthcare crew to provide exceptional patient care
Administering medications and providing patient education
