About the role
Our Princeton, KY, facility, a manufacturer of quality crackers, is seeking an Associate Quality Specialist. The Associate Quality Specialist supports food safety and quality compliance efforts by assisting with the implementation of regulatory, GFSI, and company policies and procedures. This role helps ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations by contributing to audits, document control, and issue tracking. You'll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to: Support the development and implementation of food safety and quality policies, procedures, and compliance programs aligned with federal, state, GFSI, customer, and internal standards. Assist in monitoring and reporting on compliance-related issues and help prepare documentation for audits, inspections, and internal reviews. Maintain records related to regulatory registrations, licenses, and inspection responses. Provide support during internal and third-party audits and assist in tracking corrective actions. Coordinate training materials for food safety programs such as GFSI, HACCP, and GMP. Contribute to the upkeep and organization of food safety documentation and compliance tools. Assist with cross-functional projects involving trade compliance, import/export documentation, and recall preparedness. Support process owners with document updates, reporting, and continuous improvement tracking. All other duties as assigned. Important Details : This is a full-time, on-site role on first shift. Occasional flexibility may be required to support alternate shifts. You'll fit right in if you have: Bachelor's degree in food science, Biology, or a related field. SQF Practitioner certification and Food Defense Program leadership experience preferred. One to two years of quality experience in a food manufacturing environment. Familiarity with food safety systems (GMP, HACCP, GFSI) and regulatory guidelines (FDA, USDA). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with documentation and reporting. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Experience using Microsoft Office. Experience with ERP systems (SAP) is preferred.
