We are looking for a Lead IT Portfolio and Performance to act as the right-hand to the Chief Digitalization and Information Officer (CDIO) and run the IT execution engine. The role turns strategy into measurable outcomes through strong governance, disciplined follow-through, and a clear performance cadence.
You will work closely with IT leadership, business stakeholders, and enabling functions (Compliance, Finance, People) to ensure priorities are clear, decisions are well-prepared, and delivery is consistent and transparent. This is a high-trust role with broad visibility-part advisor, part execution leader-ensuring strategic priorities translate into delivered results.
Responsibilities
You will drive results through strategy execution, governance, portfolio oversight, process excellence, and compliance coordination.
Strategy execution & planning cadence
Translate IT strategy into roadmaps, OKRs/KPIs, and quarterly/annual execution plans.
Run the planning rhythm (annual planning, QBRs, prioritization cycles, progress checkpoints).
Governance & performance management
Design and run governance forums ( roadma p review, project portfolio review, et c.. . ).
Establish outcome-based performance reporting that leaders use.
Drive accountability through clear owners, timelines, dependencies, and decision logs.
IT portfolio & value management (as applicable)
Maintain portfolio transparency: what we do, why, cost/capacity, benefits, risk, and dependencies.
Run the IT Board Prepare, structure, and facilitate IT Board decisions on product and initiative investments, changes, and decommissioning.
Support product lifecycle management
Partner with Product Managers across the full lifecycle - from intake and evolution to rationalization and end‑of‑life - ensuring clarity on scope, cost, and ownership.
Ensure TCO and investment discipline
Make total cost of ownership visible and optimised , including run, change, licenses, services, and future cost implications.
Operating model & process standardization
Manages the IT & Data Playbook which describes our ways-of-working.
Define and continuously improve core IT ways of working ( demand management, stakeholder management, lifecycle management, portfolio management, incidents, development, etc. . . ).
Standardize templates, routines, and metrics to improve quality, predictability, and speed.
Drive pragmatic continuous improvement (minimum bureaucracy, maximum clarity).
Quality, compliance & risk coordination
Ensure IT practices align with regulations and internal policies (including data privacy requirements).
Partner with Security, Risk and Compliance to embed controls in delivery and operations.
Support audit readiness through clear evidence, ownership, and remediation tracking.
What success looks like (first 6-12 months)
A smooth execution cadence is in place across planning, governance, reporting, and follow-up.
IT priorities are transparent, aligned, and actively managed (including trade-offs and dependencies).
Leadership decisions are faster because they are well-prepared and data-driven.
Standardized ways of working improve predictability, quality, and delivery follow-through.
Compliance is embedded in processes rather than handled as last-minute checks.
Requirements
You are a structured, outcome-driven leader who can operate at executive level while staying close enough to execution to ensure momentum and delivery.
You bring:
10+ years of experience in IT leadership, strategy execution, governance, portfolio management, or operational excellence.
Strong understanding of IT governance, performance management, and operating models.
Experience with portfolio lifecycle management (prioritization, planning, tracking, value and risk oversight).
Exposure to compliance, data privacy, and audit contexts, with ability to translate requirements into practical controls.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; able to influence without formal authority.
Strong analytical skills and ability to turn complex inputs into clear options and decisions.
Ability to work with pace, clarity, and discretion in a role close to the C
