Review costs on a monthly basis and take appropriate action to correct problem areas.Responsible for maintenance of plant safety devices. Ensure they are functioning as designed.Evaluates and communicate risks associated with potential environmental impacts.Monitors environmental programs and procedures. Responsible for updating and maintaining various environmental reports including air velocity testing, air pollution emissions report, confined space permits, and utilities sanitary discharge reports.Ensures compliance with Federal, State, and Local environmental regulations.Develop and implement design changes to increase production, improve safe operation, and decrease operating costs.Work closely with plant operating personnel to ensure adequate availability of facilities to meet production requirements.Ensure operating personnel are performing proper, on-time maintenance as directed, with emphasis on minor facility repair.Ensure all employees under his/her supervision know, understand, and follows all environmental, health, and safety rules and regulations pertaining to the plant.Assist the Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Health and Safety functions to secure and maintain Strip's Quality registrations.Determine the need for outside contractors and assist in preparing bid specifications and selecting contractors.
