Monitor ocean and air imports, provide clearance instructions, resolve discrepancies, and conduct post-entry audits. Troubleshoot shipment issues with freight forwarders and customs brokers, determine Harmonized Tariff Classification, and manage trade compliance recordkeeping. Assist in policy development, identify process optimization opportunities, and align U.S. and European customs compliance where possible. Track machine shipments, provide status updates, ensure freight costs are recharged to customers, and maintain ongoing customs compliance. Work with suppliers on country of origin and tariff details, and act as the main point of contact for import/export-related queries. Report key performance indicators for freight and inventory, and collaborate with purchasing and operations to optimize inventory levels and freight costs. Perform other related duties as assigned. Associate degree (preferred) in Business, materials management, or related field Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and quick to learn new software tools Experience with ERP systems and data analysis from them 5+ years' experience in an international logistics role Professional demeanor Strong follow through abilities and attention to detail Be a logical thinker, self-motivated, ability to work independently Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
