About the role
The Opportunity We operate a data collection facility where teams of operators work in shifts to generate training data for our AI and robotics systems. As Data Collection Farm Manager, you are responsible for the full operational management of the facility - from workforce planning and shift operations to strategic efficiency improvements and external staffing partnerships. Your Responsibilities Own end-to-end shift operations across a multi-team, multi-shift facility, including scheduling, capacity planning, and attendance management Lead and develop a team of operators and team leads; manage performance, onboarding, and day-to-day people matters Coordinate with external staffing agencies and third-party service providers - including contract negotiations, workforce scaling, and performance monitoring Develop and execute operational strategies to improve throughput, reduce cost per unit, and increase overall facility efficiency Define, track, and report on KPIs; use data to identify improvement opportunities and drive decisions Translate requirements from engineering and data teams into clear operational workflows and operator instructions Lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g. process redesign, tooling improvements, waste reduction) Ensure compliance with workplace safety, quality standards, and internal policies Must Have At least 5 years of experience in an operational management role, ideally in production, assembly, manufacturing, or logistics Demonstrated experience managing third-party vendors or staffing partners, including contract coordination and SLA management Track record of developing and implementing strategies that measurably improved efficiency or reduced operational costs Strong people leadership skills with experience managing team leads and larger operator teams Analytical mindset - comfortable working with operational data, setting targets, and building reports Structured, hands-on working style with a high sense of ownership Fluency/C2 in both English and German Nice to Have Experience with workforce management or shift planning software Familiarity with lean, Six Sigma, or similar operational improvement methodologies Prior exposure to tech, robotics, or data-driven environments Recruiting Process Your recruiting partner for this role is Madhulika (she/her).
