About the role
The OFCI Procurement Manager - Data Centers is responsible for the technical and commercial procurement of Owner-Furnished, Contractor-Installed (OFCI) equipment for mission-critical data center facilities. The role ensures that long-lead, high-reliability power and cooling equipment meets stringent performance, redundancy, and availability requirements while aligning procurement schedules with construction, commissioning, and go-live milestones. This position reports to the Procurement Manager US Team Lead and is a remote position serving the geographically distributed projects for the company. Your responsibilities will include: Technical Scope & Engineering Coordination Define OFCI equipment scope in collaboration with data center design, engineering, and construction teams Review and validate technical specifications, single-line diagrams, layouts, and equipment datasheets with data center design, engineering, and construction teams Ensure compliance with data center design criteria (Tier levels, redundancy, fault tolerance, uptime targets) Manage technical clarifications, deviations, and vendor compliance matrices Vendor Selection & Technical Procurement Issue RFQs/RFPs for critical data center infrastructure equipment Lead technical and commercial bid evaluations with engineering stakeholders Conduct vendor technical interviews and design alignment workshops Negotiate contracts covering performance guarantees, availability, FAT requirements, delivery milestones, and warranties Critical Equipment Oversight Manage procurement and delivery of long-lead, mission-critical equipment, including: Electrical : generators, medium- and low-voltage switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, PDUs, busways Mechanical : chillers, cooling towers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, heat exchangers Controls & Monitoring : BMS, EPMS, SCADA, protection and control systems Manufacturing, FAT & Quality Control Monitor vendor engineering, manufacturing, and testing schedules Review vendor drawings, protection studies, and control logic Coordinate and participate in FATs, integrated systems testing (where applicable), and inspections Manage non-conformances, corrective actions, and technical change control Logistics, Site Delivery & Installation Readiness Develop logistics strategies for oversized and critical equipment Coordinate international shipping, customs clearance, and just-in-time delivery Ensure equipment preservation, storage, and environmental controls on site Support installation readiness reviews and contractor handover Schedule, Risk & Interface Management Track long-lead items and procurement activities on the project critical path Identify and mitigate risks related to capacity, lead times, factory constraints, and supply chain disruptions Coordinate interfaces between OFCI equipment and contractor-installed systems Provide detailed procurement and risk reporting to project leadership Documentation, Commissioning & Handover Ensure completeness and accuracy of as-built documentation, O&M manuals, and warranties Support commissioning, IST, and turnover to operations teams Close out OFCI packages in accordance with data center operational requirements We expect you to have: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study, (i.e. Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, etc.) or equivalent combination of experience and technical training. 5+ years of experience in technical procurement or engineering for data centers or mission-critical facilities Proven experience procuring long-lead, high-reliability OFCI equipment Strong understanding of critical power and cooling systems Experience with FATs, commissioning, and contractor coordination It will be an added bonus if you have: Hyperscale or colocation data center experience Knowledge of Uptime Institute Tier standards or equivalent reliability frameworks Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, NFPA, NEC, ASHRAE, and local codes Key employee benefits in the US: Health insurance: 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and families. 401(k) plan: Up to 4% company match with immediate vesting.
