Job Summary Responsible for the execution and overall unit level collaboration with Grady's Auxiliary Services including, but may not be limited to: IT, food services, housekeeping/linen, BioMed, Supply Distribution, sterile processing, clinical engineering, security and facilities. This position will also assist with JCAHO readiness, audits, and recommendations. This position will report to one director and be assigned to the areas that director oversees. The purpose of this position is to reduce job barriers, reduce job burnout, and increase staff retention/satisfaction as well as aid in maintaining regulatory standards. This will be accomplished by: - Improve the accessibility of equipment, supplies, and necessary IT needs to increase staff satisfaction and increase the overall patient experience - Optimizing service level agreements of auxiliary services with units - Reduce time staff spend on specific tasks - Free up time of leadership to assist their unit with other tasks and to maintain true focus on patient experience and staff development - Facilitates on boarding of new staff members and agency - Participates in the development, recommendation, and administration of operational policies, procedures, and processes in support of assigned service area with hospital partners. - Responsible for stocking and restocking of ICU carts, med/supply rooms, and any other areas identified. - Assist with unit IT, Supply and Biomedical equipment management. - Manages equipment in accordance with safety standards, managing inventory/PAR levels of general use equipment, and ensuring equipment is delivered per request and in full operating capacity. - Assesses equipment and supply needs through daily rounding. - Maintains equipment log for assigned areas. - Triages and facilitates devices/equipment for repairs and preventative maintenance - Obtains and delivers new equipment - Assist with on unit device terminal cleaning - Cleans and maintains department owned stretchers, mobility equipment, wheelchairs - Cleans and maintains patient care equipment - Cleans and maintains nourishment areas including the refrigerator and log AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Ordering for Units: - Assist with ordering equipment, office supplies, nourishment for unit needs IT/Epic - Streamline IT tickets for unit issues - Troubleshoot computers - Troubleshoot label printers - iPad troubleshooting - Daily rounding on scanners, printers and other health IT items Housekeeping/ Linen - Ensure staff are added to linen cart - Ensure that unit linen carts are in working order Food Services - Works with food services to identify unit-based issues and work to quickly rectify the situation - Ensure that a food cart is on the unit for soiled trays at every meal. - Order floor stock - Nutrition Areas (3) o Straighten area o Discard expired items o Order nutrition and organize o Daily floor stock o Maintain refrigerator log Supply - Work with supply and storeroom staff to manage PAR levels - Obtain supplies for unit-based areas - Order unit-based supplies o Ordering critical PPE items for units o Organize supplies in storage areas o Maintain supply rooms in areas (3) Equipment/ Biomed - Manage biomedical equipment and get tags updated in FindItNow - Assist with unit preventative maintenance and inventory of equipment. - Maintain cleanliness and working order of stretchers/ wheelchairs - ARJO Equipment Mobility Equipment o Wipe down o Maintain in working order Security - Manage door access for staff Joint Commission Readiness - Environment Rounds o Input work orders for all holes, tiles, painting, etc. § Communicate with Unit Director & Management o Clear hallways of equipment, beds, etc. o Check beds for bed/chair alarm functionality. Area Cleanliness - Storeroom/Supply Room o Clean stockroom o Disinfect equipment o Coordinate with facilities and Biomed to repair equipment o Arrange & maintain equipment o Maintain shelves - Pyxis rooms (6) o Straighten room o Restock Labels o Restock Insulin supplies in basket - Soiled Utility rooms (6) o Straighten o Maintain cleanliness
