Zillow's Customer Engineering organization builds the dream, shop, and connect experiences across Zillow's sites and apps. In this role, you will lead the engineering teams behind Zillow's For Sale Home Details Page and listing evaluation experiences across web, iOS, Android, and backend services, helping customers better understand and evaluate a home with confidence. This role calls for strong technical judgment, people leadership, and cross-functional partnership to turn ambitious product goals into durable engineering strategy and high-quality execution. You Will Get To Lead multiple engineering teams across web, iOS, Android, and backend that power Zillow's listings and evaluation experiences, including the Home Details Page. Set the engineering strategy for experiences that help customers evaluate homes with greater clarity and confidence. Partner closely with Product, Design, Data Science, AI, and adjacent engineering teams to deliver high-impact customer experiences across Zillow's shopping journey. Guide the development of AI-powered shopping and evaluation experiences that make Zillow more helpful and differentiated for customers. Drive strong execution through clear goals, prioritization, operating rhythms, and measurable improvements in quality, reliability, and delivery. Coach and grow engineering leaders, helping them build healthy teams, strengthen technical judgment, and support career development for engineers and managers. Improve engineering effectiveness by strengthening planning, accountability, and the tools and practices that help teams move faster with high quality. Influence decisions across organizational boundaries, balancing near-term delivery with longer-term product, platform, and architecture investments. This role has been categorized as a Remote position. "Remote" employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions. In California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $245,600.00 - $392,400.00 annually. This base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations. In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. Employees in this role will not be paid below the salary threshold for exempt employees in the state where they reside.
