The Division of Pediatric Pathology at Children's Wisconsin (CW), within the Department of Pathology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), is seeking a full-time board-certified (or eligible) pediatric pathologist to join our subspecialized team in Milwaukee, WI and to serve as the Director of Pediatric Anatomic Pathology. This position includes a full-time faculty appointment at a rank and salary commensurate with experience and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to nationally recognized pediatric care, cutting-edge research, and innovative education in an actively growing academic medical center. Candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted Wisconsin medical license. Opportunity Highlights: Join a collaborative team of pediatric pathologists & laboratory specialists that handles over 6,500 surgical pathology and cytopathology specimens annually. Experience a diverse case mix in pediatric pathology, including solid tumor pathology, hematopathology, flow cytometry, vascular malformations, and perinatal/placental pathology with shared call and autopsy coverage. Provide medical director leadership of the CW Histology Laboratory, with oversight of surgical pathology, cytopathology, and autopsy services. Teach and mentor AP/CP residents and pediatric pathology & other pediatric specialty fellows. Thrive in a pediatric-centered environment with the multisite CW Laboratories, which perform over one million tests annually. Participate in clinical, translational, or basic science research with protected time to advance your work The Division of Pediatric Pathology offers services in anatomic pathology, hematopathology, flow cytometry, molecular testing, clinical chemistry, and microbiology. It offers subspecialty expertise in hematopathology, cytopathology, pediatric solid tumor pathology, vascular malformations, and perinatal/placental pathology. Divisional faculty are strongly involved in the activities and leadership of the Children's Oncology Group and Society for Pediatric Pathology. The division has an ACGME-accredited pediatric pathology fellowship program, and AP/CP residents routinely rotate on service. It annually handles over 6,500 surgical pathology & cytopathology specimens, 250 bone marrow specimens, 1,200 placentas, and 40 autopsies. The CW Laboratory performs over 1,050,000 tests at its main lab and three additional satellite laboratories.
