Advisor, Software Development Engineering

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership
• Define design standards, coding guidelines, and engineering best practices.
• Drive system design decisions including microservices, APIs, and cloud-native solutions.
• Lead technical reviews, architecture discussions, and solution design.
• Full Stack Development
• Hands-on development across: Backend: Java, Spring Boot, Microservices
• Frontend: Angular (latest versions), TypeScript, RxJS
• Build secure, high-performance RESTful APIs.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
• AI (Hands-on)
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development
• Python-based APIs
• Prototype and productionize AI solutions aligned with business use cases.
• Drive AI adoption within engineering teams.
• Team Leadership & Delivery
• Lead a team of developers across frontend, backend, and integration layers.
• Provide technical mentoring, coaching.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and stakeholders.
• Ensure timely delivery with strong focus on quality, scalability, and reliability.
• Engineering Excellence
• Ensure system observability, logging, and performance tuning.
• Required Skills & Experience
• Core Technical Skills
• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Strong expertise in: Java (Core + Advanced)
• Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Security)
• Angular (8+/latest versions preferred)
• Experience with microservices architecture and REST APIs.
• Strong knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL).
• Cloud & DevOps
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• CI/CD tools
• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes preferred).
• Leadership & Behavioral Competencies
• Strong ownership mindset with ability to drive outcomes.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective stakeholder communication and influence.

Requirements

• Experience in payments, fintech, or high-volume transaction systems .
• Exposure to event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience in data analytics platforms or Data Lake integrations.
• Prior experience driving AI adoption at team or organizational level.
• Education
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
