Classify bank transactions, expenses and other items
Responsible for accounting month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial close
Help create and prepare weekly and monthly management reports analyzing trends
Assist in the preparation the annual financial plan and budgeting process, including the development of the annual operating budget, workforce planning, and capital budget
Developing and maintaining automated reporting/forecasting tools
Create ad-hoc analysis in support of strategic decision making
Perform analysis to fulfill due diligence requests from potential equity and debt
Final review of weekly Accounts Payable check runs. Ensure an accurate and timely AP closing process.
Support the Controller with special/ad hoc projects and workflow process improvements.
Confirm financial status by monitoring expenses; coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data; preparing special reports.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, Masters Degree preferred
Advanced skills with Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
Must have extensive experience posting journal entries, accounting support for month-end financials
Experience in a fast-paced environment; healthcare or technology field preferred
High attention to detail
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to develop solutions
