Basic Function: Design Engineer
The role will support the Global Aftermarket Technical Team by executing service-related technical tasks, managing service part data, and ensuring accurate product information to support global service operations, sales growth, and lifecycle management of genset products.
Specific Responsibilities:
I. Key Responsibilities
Responsible to CN/CT (Change Notice / Change Task) process in Windchill to create, update and maintain service kits for gensets as per business requirements.
Define and structure service kit contents by analyzing component functionality, replacement frequency, maintenance strategy, and lifecycle requirements.

Perform service parts data analysis to support internal stakeholders and decision-making.
Interpret aftermarket parts requirements and provide technical support to Sales Coordinators and other sales channels.
Interpret aftermarket parts requirements and conduct research to support internal inquiries from Sales Coordinators and other sales channels.
Design, implement, and maintain efficient processes for recommending parts, generating part numbers, and creating bill of materials (BOMs).
Ensure all designs, data, and recommendations comply with applicable industry standards and internal guidelines.
Support GIS and lifecycle planning projects by identifying genset components with defined replacement intervals and integrating lifecycle data into planning tools.
Maintain and update product and service part information in SAP, ERP, and PLM systems
Identify and assign purchased genset parts to the appropriate product hierarchy categories based on functional and system-level understanding.
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Service, Sourcing, Pricing, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure data consistency and alignment.
Maintain accurate documentation and tracking systems for parts and tools.
Communicate effectively and professionally with customers and internal stakeholders, proficient in handling the diversified tasks.
Manage multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy, timeliness and attention to detail
II. Skills & Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
Experience: 1-3 years in CAD design and strong mechanical engineering concepts.
Tools: Proficiency in CAD software (Creo, AutoCAD & Creo View), PLM systems (Windchill) and ERP systems (SAP), basic knowledge of Power BI is a bonus
Preferred Knowledge: Familiarity with generators and its subcomponents.
